High by Claire Campbell
For the Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign HIGH went to The Red House, a medieval style house inspired by traditional craftsmans techniques and built by designer William Morris as a place for members of the the Arts and Crafts movement to meet. It was also where he began work on his wall paper and fabric patterns.
Belief in the artisanal process is also central to the concept of HIGH. This collection has tailoring with exquisite attention to detail and pieces with hand finished surfaces and stencilled decoration. Versions of the Liberty prints
BELIEF IN THE ARTISANAL PROCESS IS ALSO CENTRAL TO THE CONCEPT OF HIGH.
designed by Morris are also incorporated into the collection.
HIGH Tech was photographed at the Barbican centre, famous for its modern architecture and musical concerts. As well as ultra-modern, high performance outerwear this collection has new kind of technical formal wear that follows the modernist belief that form should follow function; being both useful and beautiful.
